BAINVILLE, M.T. (KUMV) - The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office says they helped the FBI execute a search warrant in Bainville this week.

A statement by Sheriff Jason Frederick says the incident took place at a residence on Clinton Street Wednesday morning. The FBI SWAT team detonated flash-bang noise distraction devices, but no shots were fired and no one was hurt in the process.

Bainville School was briefly placed on lockdown, but there was no danger to the school or the public.

Frederick says at least two arrests were made, but no names were released.

“The search warrant was the culmination of a long investigation involving multiple agencies, including the FBI, RCSO, BIA, Montana Highway Patrol, and Fort Peck Tribal Police,” Frederick said in a statement.
