BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A Bismarck man facing criminal charges following a fatal accident on Oct. 2 that killed two teenagers is getting a new judge on his case.
Court documents show Cameron Schestler’s defense attorney filed a demand to disqualify District Judge James Hill, which has now been approved.
Under North Dakota law, defendants can request a one-time change of judge before key rulings are made in the case.
According to the court record, the case is reassigned to Judge Bobbi Weiler in the Burleigh County Courts.
