TIOGA, N.D. (KUMV) - Williams County prosecutors have charged a former Western Cooperative Credit Union employee with theft for stealing money from her workplace in Tioga.
Prosecutors say Karen Odegaard took about $12,000 from the credit union vault and deposited it into her own account in October. Her managers didn’t realize the money was missing until December.
Police mention in the court documents that Odegaard claimed the money came from a friend, but that person denied it.
Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 11.
