Williston school district CTE Director leaving at end of school year

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - A prominent member of the Williston Basin School District (WBSD) will step down at the end of June.
The board accepted the resignation of Kenzi Brown’s resignation earlier this week. She served many roles in the district, most recently as the Career and Technical Education Director. Brown also helped the district start up a pre-k education program.
A district spokesperson says Brown is moving from the area to be closer to family.
“Kenzi has been a tremendous asset to WBSD7 as a teacher, Pre-K Coordinator, and CTE Director. She has played an important role in expanding opportunities for students and helping strengthen both our early learning programs and career and technical education offerings. We appreciate her dedication and leadership, and we wish her and her family nothing but the best. She will certainly be missed in WBSD7, WBCTEC, and our community,” said Jason Germundson, superintendent.
A spokesperson with the district said they have posted her position and will look to find the best candidate for the role.
