Williston-to-Vegas flights down in 2025

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Williston’s seasonal flights to Las Vegas didn’t fare as well as previous years.

Airport Director Anthony Dudas says passenger numbers for Sun Country were down about 14 percent compared to 2024. He attributes the decrease to fewer Canadian travelers and the costs associated to staying in Las Vegas.

“I wouldn’t say there’s any concern. These are challenges that are not unique to the Williston market. A lot of leisure travel has started to slow down a little bit across the nation,” said Dudas.

This was the fourth year that Sun Country Airlines has provided flights between Williston and Las Vegas. Dudas says the Airport staff will meet with the carrier next year to discuss next season’s schedule.
