Williston Water World wins statewide economic development award

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - The Williston Water World project received a state award for improving quality of life in the region.

The Williston Community Builders were presented with the award earlier this month during the Economic Development North Dakota Fall Conference.

The group led efforts to privately raise millions over the past few years to build the complex, which opened in July.

Amanda Colebank, President of the builders, said Water World is the result of the community coming together to make an outdoor water park a reality in Williston.
