WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Williston State College’s newest building is nearing completion.

College leaders showed state lawmakers how progress is going on the healthcare training building. It was mostly funded by the state in the 2023 legislative session.

President Bernell Hirning said it will have space for various healthcare courses and massage therapy.

“Each of the 15 healthcare programs that we covered before are going to be offered in person in the new building you’ll see today. That’s what they are asking for. They’re not asking for online healthcare programs, they want in-person,” said Hirning.

Hirning said construction should be done later this fall.

Classes in the building start early next year.
