WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - A Williston man will serve three years in prison for a slew of thefts across northwest North Dakota.
Daniel Jenkins pleaded guilty Tuesday to stealing multiple vehicles, trailers and electric wiring in Williams, Burke, McKenzie and Mountrail Counties last year.
Northwest District Court Judge Chas Neff Junior ordered Jenkins to pay more than $17,000 in restitution, with more expected in the coming months.
Williams County States Attorney Jaakan Williams says some jail time was necessary, but he also wants a short sentence so Jenkins can start working again.
Jenkins told the court he has a job lined up and will correct his mistakes.
