Trenton students visit NDSU Extension

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Summer school students from Trenton visited the NDSU Extension office in Williston on Thursday morning.

Elementary students from first to sixth grade toured the site, learning about crops, seed crushing and planting. They also got to see some of the big machinery involved with agriculture.

Jason Slater said it’s an annual occasion to give students a close look at the farming industry.

“They love to go see the different plots and different kinds of grains and plants. They love Rosie’s garden. They really enjoy seeing all this stuff. They see it every day, and now they get to learn about it,” said Slater.

The Williston Extension will be showing off the site for its annual Field Days next Thursday.
