Construction update in Williston

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - The second phase of construction for the 2nd Avenue West and 26th Street West intersection in Williston will begin later this week.

The NDDOT said phase one wrapped up Tuesday, with traffic lights being removed for temporary signals.

The department says the intersection will operate as a four-way stop.

Phase two consists of shifting traffic onto the east and northbound lanes while working on the west and southbound ones.

Construction efforts will be ongoing in that area through October, with permanent striping to be finalized next year.
