Brittany Kilgore joins Williston Basin School Board

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Williston Basin School Board President Kyle Renner said he appointed Brittany Kilgore to fill the vacant position on the board.

Kilgore is a former Williston Chamber of Commerce board member and has over a decade of experience in human resources.

In a statement, Kilgore said: “I want to ensure all students receive a high-quality education in a supportive environment that prepares them for success. I also want teachers and students to feel valued and supported along their journey.”

Renner said the decision came following a 3-to-2 vote Friday afternoon. Kate Vestal, a former write-in candidate for the board, was the other applicant.

Renner said he has no doubt Kilgore will provide good input and insight as the board makes several important decisions this spring, including choosing a new superintendent.

Kilgore will serve on the board through June.
