Two candidates apply for vacant Williston school board position

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Just two applicants filed for the vacant position on the Williston Basin School Board.

The district Business Manager said Kate Vestal and Brittany Kilgore applied to take the seat formerly held by John Kasmer.

Vestal was a write-in candidate in a previous school board election, while Kilgore serves as the vice president of the Western Region Economic Development board.

Members of the Williston School Board will vote to appoint one of them on Friday. They would serve through June.
