WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - A search for another superintendent for Williston Schools is underway. Jason Germundson was named interim superintendent Monday after Richard Faidley announced his resignation last month.

Faidley will remain with the district as an outgoing superintendent consultant. His new contract says he is allowed to work remotely but must be available to consult in a timely manner.

Faidley’s contract does not mention any pay changes. Germundson will see an additional $2,500 a month raise from now through June. Germundson’s salary was listed at $175,000.

The school board also voted to approve the timeline to find a new superintendent. President Kyle Renner says applications are open through the end of February. Interviews will take place in March with a final decision being made on April 7.
