Williston man charged with sexually abusing minors in Alaska

ALASKA (KUMV) - A Williston man was arrested and charged with sexually abusing minors while he lived in Alaska.

Alaska State Troopers say Leonard Acker harmed multiple children there over the past few years. Acker faces 17 first-degree counts of sexual abuse and six second-degree counts.

The investigation began in 2022 when troopers received a report of sexual abuse that happened several years earlier in the Mat-Su Valley.

Police in both Williston and Alaska say Acker may have more victims in the area and are seeking any information in this investigation.
