Williston State adding four-year programs on-site through Dickinson State, Mayville State
WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Williston State College will have new four-year courses available on campus next year.
President Bernell Hirning said they signed contract agreements with Dickinson State and Mayville State to provide classes in Williston. Dickinson State will provide four Bachelor of Business courses while Mayville State will teach three Bachelor of Secondary Education courses. Hirning said they all start next fall.
“We truly want to make Williston State College a university center where students don’t just graduate with an associate’s degree, but they can stay in Williston and, for their junior and senior years, do their in-person classes and finish their bachelor’s degree without ever having to move,” said Hirning.
More information on these classes will be released later this month.
Hirning said the college is nearing agreements with Minot State University and Valley City State University for additional programs.
