WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Extremely high winds in Williston snapped a traffic light Saturday at the intersection of 26th Street West and 2nd Avenue.
Police say they were notified that the light went down around 5:30 p.m. Public Works is on-site assessing the damage.
Police have set up detours around the area. Traffic could be delayed.
There is no timeframe on when the light will be restored. An officer on the scene says a temporary solution such as a four-way stop sign will be necessary as the high winds continue.
