Marvel accidentally sent check for ‘Avengers’ film to actor Tom Hollander instead of Tom Holland

(CNN) – Tom Holland is a famous actor known for his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Tom Hollander is a fellow British actor with just a two letter difference and looking nothing alike.

On NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Hollander revealed that he sometimes gets confused for the younger actor.

Hollander said he was once with the same agency as the “Spider-Man” star and the accounts department accidentally emailed him the first box office bonus for “The Avengers,” a film he was not in.

The actor joked that the seven-figure sum really brought him down a peg.

Hollander can be seen in Hulu’s “Feud” anthology series , “Capote vs. The Swans” premiering next week.
