2 dead, 6 injured in shooting at nightclub

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) — Two people were killed, and six others were injured in a shooting at a Mississippi nightclub Saturday night.

Jackson Police Department Deputy Chief Sequerna Banks said officers are investigating a shooting at the Hideaway Nightclub.

Police confirmed early Sunday morning that two victims, identified as 20-year-old Lovdai Poindexter and 18-year-old Jada Henderson, were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Six other people were taken to local hospitals for treatment. The injured victims include four females, ages 18, 18, 19 and 20, and two males, ages 19 and 20.
