Vikings fire General Manager after four-year tenure

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (KFYR) - The Minnesota Vikings have fired their General Manager, Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, after four seasons at the helm.
During Adofo-Mensah’s tenure, the Vikings posted a strong 43-25 regular-season record and made multiple playoff appearances, but never won a playoff game.
Adofo-Mensah’s draft classes have also been scrutinized by leaders around the league.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that there had been rumors around the league of a power struggle between Vikings coaches and the front office.
“It is in the best interest to move forward with new leadership of our football operations. These decisions are never easy. We are grateful for Kwesi’s contributions and commitment to the organization over the past four years and wish him and his family the best in the future,” wrote Vikings Owners Zygi and Mark Wilf in a statement.
The Wilf’s statement also reads that the Vikings’ executive vice president of football operations, Rob Brzezinski, will run the front office and handle the 2026 draft. The team will search for a new general manager after the draft.
