New State Superintendent talks AI in classrooms
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - AI usage in classrooms is a bit of a touchy subject, but new State Superintendent Levi Bachmeier thinks it can be used to support teachers.
He said teachers can potentially use AI to make their daily tasks easier and faster to complete. One example could be a teacher who writes up a test for a student who missed the original exam.
“I used to be a high school Social Studies teacher,” said Bachmeier. “There’s so much beyond just instructing students, so I think when we’re talking about how can AI support educators, I hope we can have a conversation about how do we use that to help take things off of their plates.”
Bachmeier will be visiting every North Dakota school starting on Monday, Dec. 8.
