‘Air Benny’ and handler Kayla Wolff inducted into DockDogs Hall of Fame
BURLINGTON, N.D. (KMOT) - This dog is the G.O.A.T.: the four-legged athlete from Burlington and his handler are joining an elite circle in the DockDogs world.
Kayla Wolff and her 10-year-old golden retriever Bentley were recently inducted into the 2025 DockDogs Hall of Fame!
They found out about the honor at the DockDogs world championships earlier this month.
The hometown duo is the first-ever from North Dakota to earn this award since the organization started it in 2004.
Since they joined the sport in 2016, they’ve grown to compete around the world.
Wolff said a group of family and friends nominated them.
She said there’s only one other duo honored this year, and in total, only about 55 dogs around the country have gained hall of fame status.
“The Hall of Fame has always been a dream of mine. Never thought that dream would come true. Bentley is really special to me, and just knowing that what we’ve accomplished—and we’ve made it. It’s truly an honor,” said Wolff.
Wolff also has a seven-year-old Boston and a three-year-old Bexley who actively compete in the sport as well.
Their next competition is in February in Bismarck.
