MOORHEAD, Minn. (KFYR) - Gage Florence has reset the record books at the Division II level. The Sawyer, North Dakota, native is now the all-time leading receiver in NCAA DII, surpassing the previous record of 386 career receptions.

Florence, a senior at Minnesota State University Moorhead, had double digit catches on Saturday to beat the record with one regular season game left. Florence finished the win over Jamestown with a team-high 10 receptions for 93 yards and a touchdown. The Dragons defeated the Jimmies 44-20.

Florence is a two-time All-NSIC selection for the Dragons. He has set the school and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference record for career receptions, and the school record for career receiving yards with more than 3,500.

The Dragons will take on Minnesota State Mankato in the final game of the regular season next Saturday, where Florence will have an opportunity to build on his record-setting career.
