BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - For the second straight week, North Dakota football beat a ranked opponent on the road. This time, the No. 9 Fighting Hawks took down the No. 12 Southern Illinois Salukis 38-19.

Running back Sawyer Seidl ran wild for a trio of rushing touchdowns plus a receiving touchdown. The sophomore ran the ball 14 times for 108 yards.

It’s been over a month since UND last lost a football game. That came all the way back on Sep. 20 against No. 5 Montana. Since then, the Fighting Hawks have won four straight and have scored at least 35 points in each of those victories.

Next week, North Dakota faces Indiana State in Grand Forks. There’s a way to go before UND plays No. 1 North Dakota State, but it’s looking more and more likely that the Bison and Fighting Hawks’ contest on Nov. 8 will be a top-five matchup.
