Award-winning illusionist, magician performs at ND State Fair

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - An award-winning illusionist and magician is bending reality right before your eyes at the North Dakota State Fair.

Minneapolis-based magician Jared Sherlock has performed at our fair three times now.

He’s traveled all across the country sharing his talent in family-friendly comedy and modern magic.

Sherlock said he learned his first trick when he was just eight years old from a magic kit gifted to him by his grandparents.

Now nearing his 40s, Sherlock told us his goal is to just make people laugh and leave his show wanting more.

“My job is a privilege. There’s lots of jobs in this world that are very difficult, but mine is, I get to go on stage for a half hour to 45 minutes and make people smile,” said Sherlock.

After Saturday, Sherlock will be off to New York to perform for a corporate event.

Catch him before the fair ends on Stage One, right next to Gate D.
