BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Members of the North Dakota House Republican Caucus will need to find a new chair.

Jeremy Olson confirmed with Your News Leader Tuesday night he is resigning as caucus chair.

Olson is from Arnegard and represents District 26.

In an email statement, he told us he is stepping away because he took on a new job after the session ends, and will not be able to handle caucus chair responsibilities during the interim, including fundraising and election committees.

Olson said this does not impact his role as a state lawmaker.
