Minot Board of Realtors taking donations towards school lunch balances

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Residents of Minot can help pay students’ outstanding lunch bills.

The Minot Board of Realtors is accepting donations to pay off student lunch bills.

Board member Erica Alstad said the initiative started on April 1 and runs through the end of the month.

She said it was brought to the board’s attention that this was a need in the community, and no child or parent should have to worry about their bill.

“Every spring, we’re looking for some area of need in the community that we can step in and help,” said Alstad.

Alstad said you can write a check out to “MPS Nutrition and drop it off at Brokers 12″ or send money on Venmo to @MinotBOR.

She added that even after the deadline, if someone wants to make a donation, they can take it directly to the MPS Nutrition office.
