Police say an Albertson's employee, Dejonte Lavon Smith, threatened a customer with a pocket knife in Williston Friday night.

Smith is being charged with Menacing, a Class A Misdemeanor.

Police say after responding to the report around 10 p.m., the customer stated that that upon purchasing items at Smith's till, the employee told him to "leave his fiancée alone" and leave the store.

After refusing to leave, the customer said Smith took the pocket knife out of his pocket, opened it, and walked toward him threatening to cause bodily harm to the customer.

Police say Dejonte Smith described that the contact between the two "became heated". He was then arrested and taken to Williams County Correctional Center, where he is currently being held without bond.
