BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Heritage Center in Bismarck is bringing Halloween-themed history to the museum.

The “Haunted Museum” exhibits connect the public to the haunted histories of the former Governor’s Mansion and the Creature from the Black Lagoon. The exhibit also educates the public on the legends of gnomes, witches and trolls.

Kianna Eagle Chasing and her kids, Vincent and Harmony Harrison, came to the museum from Porcupine, North Dakota for Harmony’s 10th birthday.

“I liked reading about the creature from the Black Lagoon. I didn’t know that the actor was from Mandan,” said Eagle Chasing.

The Haunted Museum runs through November 1 with day and evening sessions. The event is part of a ND250 and America 250 celebration. This is the first year of the event. The Haunted Museum exhibits can be found in the Inspiration Gallery and also includes a scavenger hunt.
