Legacy’s Marlee Falcon commits to University of South Dakota basketball

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The rising trend of Division I basketball players in North Dakota continued on Monday night when Legacy High School’s Marlee Falcon announced her commitment to play at the University of South Dakota. Falcon will play her senior season for the Sabers this winter.
Falcon is a two-time second team All-State selection. She was top ten in the WDA last season in points per game, rebounds, blocks and three-point percentage.
Falcon joins Brooklynn Felchle as the only two Division I players from Legacy’s girls basketball program, and they will get to compete against one another next year, as Felchle currently plays for South Dakota State.
The Coyotes finished the 2025-2026 season with a 26-10 overall record. They played in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament after losing in the second round of the Summit League Tournament. The Coyotes made it to the final four of the WNIT.
