Bismarck Hotel and Conference Center to change brands, undergo major remodel

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - The Bismarck Hotel is getting a new look and a new partner.

The hotel will undergo significant renovations to become a dual-branded hotel, Clarion by Choice Hotels and Ascend Hotel Collection.

The Ascend Hotel will be located in the north building, and the lobby entrance will be entered at the current ballroom entrance.

Ascend is an upper mid-scale hotel and caters to a more diverse group of travelers.

Upgrades will include a new color scheme, hotel and ballroom amenities, room remodels and the addition of a complimentary hot breakfast.

The hotel will also be getting a local restaurant and catering owner.

“We feel like we can, kind of, bring it back to this market, and I would say, get it closer to its former glory,” said Operations Manager Josh Churchill.

Renovations will be completed in phases.

There is no exact date when all the work will be completed, but the hotel will still be open during the remodel.
