Soda Drop opens at Kirkwood Mall
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A new food truck, or maybe a drink truck, opened up at the Kirkwood Mall.
Like many other businesses around the country, Soda Drop’s main product are dirty sodas.
“This has really taken off across the U.S. in the last 10 years, and so with that popularity, especially across the Midwest, that’s where we decided, like, ‘Hey, we could definitely do this here,’” said owner Kim Hertz.
Kim Hertz and her family use a soda base, syrup additives, and creamers to create the popular drinks.
Soda Drop has a large and diverse menu, with different flavored syrups and drinks containing energy drinks, glitter, and boba. Some of its menu items are also based around pop culture, like its popular KPop Demon Hunters drink, based on the Netflix hit.
“That one is purple and glittery, and it’s really fun amongst the kids,” said Hertz.
Soda Drop’s menu is also inclusive, including sugar-free options for diabetic folks who want to give the drinks a try.
“It’s just a drink, but it brings so much joy to people that, why not?” said Hertz.
She says her ultimate goal with Soda Drop is to eventually acquire a drive-thru.
Soda Drop is located in the north court of the mall, close to Target.
