The Dakota Drive: Hunter Pinke and Jim Dooley
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - This week on The Dakota Drive, Sports Director Luke Gamble sat down with former University of North Dakota tight end Hunter Pinke. Watford City football coach Jim Dooley also joined the show to talk about the Wolves’ season.
Hunter Pinke [the interview begins at 2:02 p.m.] played three seasons for the Fighting Hawks before being in a ski accident his junior year of college that resulted in him being paralyzed. Pinke now travels the country as a keynote speaker, has launched his own podcast and is still an avid supporter of UND Athletics. He talked about all three of those things on The Dakota Drive.
Jim Dooley [the interview begins at 2:27 p.m.] joined the show to talk about Watford City getting its third win of the season last week, something the program has not accomplished since 2017. The Wolves defeated Dickinson 20-17. Dooley was formerly the head football coach at Beulah High School before moving to Watford City last year.
