Man arrested after threatening to ‘blow up’ a Fargo bank

FARGO, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A Fargo man is facing a felony terrorizing charge after allegedly making threats over the phone to a local bank.
Police were called to the U.S. Bank Location on Broadway on September 18 for a report of threats. An employee with the bank said that Terry Albin had been in the store earlier, upset at the bank for locking his card for a fraud protection alert.
Albin was provided a number to call to fix the situation, which he reportedly was unhappy with, yelling obscenities before leaving the bank.
The bank received a phone call later that day, where a man, later identified as Albin, threatened to blow up the bank and then hung up the phone. The number was on file with the bank as Albin’s number.
While police were on the scene, Albin walked into the bank.
The officer had Albin step outside and detained him in handcuffs. He asked Albin if he had any weapons on him, and he informed the officer that he had an axe in his backpack. The axe and a pocket knife were located in that backpack, the only items inside.
The officer asked Albin what was going on, to which he reportedly said, “they’re stealing all my s***”, and “I don’t care if I‘m free anymore or not.” He told the officer his intent with the threatening call was to get locked up.
The bank was shut down for the rest of the day. Albin has been charged with terrorizing.
