Settlement reached in Atlas Power Data Center civil lawsuit

WILLISTON, N.D. (KUMV) - Attorneys said they reached a settlement over a civil lawsuit impacting residents living near a data center by Williston.

A jury trial was set for next month to determine if Judson Township residents should receive relief for excessive noise complaints from the Atlas Power Data Center.

On June 11, attorneys representing the residents told Northwest District Court Judge Kirsten Sjue that they are in talks for the final terms.

We reached out to the attorneys and have not heard back.

Residents filed the lawsuit in 2023, arguing that the noise lowers property values and is detrimental to their health.
