Cody Campbell talks winning NAHL Coach of the Year

MINOT, N.D. (KMOT) - Minotauros Head Coach Cody Campbell was named the NAHL Coach of the Year during Tuesday’s awards show to cap off a historic year for the organization.

The Tauros went 41-14-1-1 en route to Central Division regular season and playoff titles and held the second-best goal differential in the league’s regular season. The NAHL awards are voted on by the league’s coaches and management.

When asked about what it means to win the award, Campbell directed his praise to the team.

“It’s nice to be recognized by your peers obviously, but the biggest thing I want to make sure everyone understands is that this is a team award. Without the players and the work that they put in this year, that doesn’t happen, and I’m not naive to that fact,” said Campbell.

Campbell was not the only member of the organization honored Tuesday. Goaltender Brady James and defenseman Colby Woogk made the all-NAHL second team and the all-Central Division team, and forward Jack O’Hanisain joined the duo on the all-division team.
