Burleigh County prepares for upcoming primary election
BURLEIGH COUNTY, N.D. (KFYR) - Burleigh County is just one of North Dakota’s 53 counties preparing for primary election day next Tuesday. Early voting has already started and continues through Monday at the Civic Center.
County Auditor Mark Splonskowski said they are training election workers and making sure all of the voting equipment gets to the appropriate places, adding all polling locations throughout the county are fully staffed.
“We have been very blessed with an abundance of people who are willing and able to help to be poll workers. We have a full staff and we have alternates as well that we won’t be able to use,” said Splonskowski.
Splonskowski said it’s hard to predict how many people will vote on primary election day in Burleigh County. He said historically, primaries have fewer participants than general elections.
