Saturday was a beautiful day to get outside and help connect people to resources they didn't think existed in the area.

The People Matter Neighborhood Party had various vendors that let people know that they're there to help. Schools, organizations, and faith communities worked side-by-side to help people get back to the way they were before substance abuse, mental health issues, and cultural beliefs.

"Recognizing that there are wonderful people in our community who want to help people in need. It's just getting information out so that they can have that help to get them back on their feet and to really celebrate life in the community," says Pastor Les Wolfgram.

Some vendors at the event included Lemonade Day, Community Options, and Little Free Pantry. The party was hoping to build relationships and improve the community.
