Minot police responded to the Open Gate Church early Tuesday morning for a report of a burglary.
Police say they found that a door on the church had been forced open, but officers did not find anyone inside when they entered. There was nothing missing and the only damage was to the door where entry was made.
This comes after 22-year-old Levi Cook of Minot was arrested for stealing from Our Savior Lutheran Church while the church was in service Sunday. Police say the man was found with stolen church property as well as credit cards that were reported stolen a day earlier.
He was taken to Ward County Jail and charged with burglary (C Felony) and possession of Stolen Property (C Felony).
