DSU Holds Hawk Walk to Raise Money for Crisis Center

The Dickinson State University Honors Leadership program held a Hawk Walk today to raise money for the Domestic Crisis and Rape Violence Center of Dickinson.

The Theodore Roosevelt Honors Leadership program has been partnering with the center for 8 years to hold the Hawk Walk.

The 5K run welcomed more than 50 participants earlier today.
All proceeds from the Hawk Walk will be going to the Domestic Crisis and Rape Violence Center.

It provides shelter services to victims of violence and serves eight counties.

"Domestic violence and sexual assault are going to happen anywhere you go, and anything we can do to help them raise awareness and help them support their cause in helping women and men and children get out of those situations is something we're very proud to do."

There will be a Heroes Ball next week to raise money for the center and the Dickinson police and fire departments.
