Wentz, Liggins talk hometown high school rivalries at Eagles training camp

The North Dakota High School football season is just a few weeks away and the Bismarck guys on the Eagles roster have their alma maters in mind.

Carson Wentz went to Century High School and Jay Liggins graduated from Bismarck High School. The two have not engaged in trash talk, yet.

”We’ll get there we’ll definitely get there but having Jay here it’s pretty cool i mean obviously it’s not everyday that someone from North Dakota makes it to the NFL let alone from Bismarck so seeing the cross town rival from back in the day is pretty cool to see him out here and it’s exciting for him,” said Wentz

Liggins is immersed in the Eagles playbook but he anticipates a time when he’ll talk with Carson about their cross town rivalry.

Jay Liggins said: “Not yet. We’ve just focused on the task at hand here. We’ve got together; we spoke a little bit about Bismarck and stuff like that, but we’ve been keeping it fairly civil. He’s the same age as my brother so we kind of talked about how we know each other, mutual connections through that, and he just gave me little pointers on how to stick around here and we had lunch together and stuff like that so it’s real nice.”
