The Souris Valley Sabre Dogs baseball club announced a series of front-office moves Wednesday, in the wake of a series of departures from the franchise.

The team announced Wednesday two additions to their front office staff. Brett Schweitzer is the club's new Assistant General Manager, and Jack Gorman is the team's new Group Sales & Corporate Partnership Director.

Team Owner Steve Wagner will take over as acting General Manager after Darrell Handelsman's resignation earlier this month.

Schweitzer said in a press release that he's "excited for the opportunity to expand on the foundation that the Sabre Dogs have established over the last two seasons by implementing new and exciting ideas that will attract people to the ballpark. Whether they actively follow the game of baseball or not, my goal is to provide a unique experience for fans of all ages. SkoDogs!”

Gorman added he looks "forward to joining the Sabre Dogs and am grateful for this opportunity. I am excited to meet and work with all of the great people from Minot. The Sky’s the Limit! Go Sabre Dogs!”

The team made the Expedition League playoffs in each of its first two seasons, and hosted the league's All-Star weekend festivities during the 2019 season in Minot.

The Sabre Dogs' 2020 season begins May 26.
