The city of Bismarck is hosting the Babe Ruth World Series next month, and the park district is in need of volunteers.

The tournament for 13 to 15 year olds will have ten teams, including one from China. It runs August 7-15.

They need 13 to 15 year old kids to be team ambassadors, and they get to be part of the team during the tournament, attending games and other functions with the team. Team hosts are also needed for each team to be the point of contact for things to do, and places to eat in Bismarck. And, host families for the Chinese players are needed to house the kids for about 10 days, from Aug. 6-16.

“It's rewarding for those families it's really exciting you get to be part of the, you're almost part of their team you get to cheer them on during the whole tournament it's just a rewarding experience for families and the players,” Ethan Eberle with the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District said.
