BISMARCK, N.D. - The University of Mary Head Softball Coach, Kerry Shaw, has resigned after spending three seasons coaching the Marauders. Shaw will join the University of Texas coaching staff, one of the top collegiate softball programs in the nation.

Shaw became the head coach for the Marauders in January 2016, and during his time at U-Mary, student-athletes earned seven All-NSIC awards and received 12 NSIC All-Academic awards.

The Marauders finished the 2018 season 18-19 overall, including wins over no. 5 ranked Humboldt State University, the defending NCAA champion; Minnesota State University, which snapped the Mavericks 32 home-game win streak; and the no. 16 ranked Augustana University.

U-Mary will begin a search for a new head coach immediately.
