MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins ended their 2018 season with a 78-84 record. Earlier this month, they fired Paul Molitor after serving as the manager for four seasons. Earlier Thursday, the Twins announced that Rocco Baldelli is the new manager for the Twins.

For the past four years, Baldelli has coached for the Tampa Bay Rays, where he played six of his seven seasons as an MLB outfielder. This is the first time that the Twins have hired a manager outside of the Twins organization since Ray Miller in 1985. Baldelli will serve as the Twins 14th manager in club history.
