The Minot Country Club is hosting the Souris Valley United Way Hole-in-One Contest this week. Funds raised from the event will help the organization's Backpack Buddies program reach new heights.
"We were able to expand into the seventh [Minot] school this year, which is huge for that program going up to the 250 kids... We're hoping to continue to expand, and we've got big plans. We know that there's a lot of hungry kids in our town," Souris Valley United Way outreach specialist Jalisa Tinnes.
