BISMARCK, N.D. - The Shiloh Christian Volleyball Invitational is Saturday. Fifteen teams will be competing in pool play to determine the seeding for the individual elimination tournament.
The Skyhawks competed in a tournament in Valley City last weekend.
“Valley City, we started off really strong. Our pool went really well, we took second. And then tournament time, we kind of died down a little bit but I'm really proud of how we played in our pool," said Josey Griess, Shiloh senior.
The invite will give the Skyhawks a good idea of where they stand within the region.
"We get a lot of teams pretty much from all over the state. A lot of teams from our region, especially. So we get to see what our competition is like get to play against some familiar faces," said Rachel Mischel, Shiloh senior.
"It’s really a blessing to be able to have all the these teams here; there's a lot of great teams, a lot of great competition. And like you said, that's going to be who we need to beat to get to the tournament. So it’s nice to play them now, play them early, so you can see how you match up and you still have time to fix things, tweak things," said Head Coach Tricia Sorensen.
The invite starts at 8:00 a.m. Saturday, and pool play runs until a little after 2:00 p.m. CT, with the bracket beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT.
