MINOT, N.D. - Players and staff have traveled from far and wide to join the Sabre Dogs.
You'd be hard pressed to find someone at Corbett Field with a resume quite like this international intern.
Jose Sajour's career began as an attorney, but now he is following his passion at Corbett Field.
“I decided to focus on baseball because I believe it's in my blood as a Dominican, and of course, it's America's favorite past-time,” Sajour said.
Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Sajour says he isn’t a stranger to the United States.
“My masters degrees are in sports management and sports law from Columbia University. Columbia University has a pretty attractive program,” Sajour said.
Yes, that Columbia University. But things changed in 2014.
“The moment I decided to come to the United States and live as a U.S. Citizen was in 2014 when I decided to change my career and focus on sports,” Sajour said.
Eventually, he left the big cities behind to pursue a career in baseball, starting right here in Minot with the Sabre Dogs.
“Baseball is one of the most important things in life. It's the sport I decided to focus on as a career. So I will travel to the end of the world if it's needed for baseball,” Sajour said.
Using Americas past-time to pursue a true American Dream.
