Nine US Olympians were recognized by Forbes Magazine sports 30 under 30 list.

Two of them are from North Dakota.

Twenty-nine-year-old twin sisters Monique Lamoureux-Moronado and Jocelyn Lamoureux-Davidson from Grand Forks played college hockey at University of North Dakota. They were key players in Team USA’s gold medal in the last Winter Olympics.

For the past seven years Forbes spotlights 30 people in 20 different industries. Forbes says the prestigious list recognizes the impressive, the inspiring and the genuinely enviable.

The sports list was judged by former NFL player Martellus Bennett, LA Laker owner Jeanie Buss and entertainment mogul Thomas Tull.

Since their gold medal, the twins have actively promoted many platforms including gender equality, volunteer service and digital literacy.
