BISMARCK, N.D. - Ten North Dakota legislators will recognizing Bismarck native and Super Bowl-winning quarterback Carson Wentz for his accomplishments during the 2017 NFL season.

Wentz passed for nearly 3,300 with 33 touchdowns. The resolution also celebrates his accomplishments off the field with his work through his AO1 foundation.

“A little bit of recognition for the success he had at NDSU, here in Bismarck and then at the national scale, and we're proud of that. We just want him to know he's got the state behind him,” said Rep Thomas Beadle, R-Fargo.

“We'll present the resolution to him when his season is over and he's got a little free time. We'll be here in Bismarck and we'll roll out the red carpet to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves,” said Rep Corey Mock, D-Grand Forks.

All ten of the sponsoring legislators play in the same fantasy football league.
