MINOT, N.D. - Minot's Mason Morelli is a finalist for this season's Hobey Baker Award, given to the college hockey player who most "exhibits strength and character, both on and off the ice, contributes to the integrity of the team, displays outstanding skills in all phases of the game, and shows scholastic achievement and sportsmanship."

Mason's cousin Aiden, a sophomore left wing on the Magicians hockey team, explained why he thinks Mason deserves the honor.

"He's just one of the hardest-working guys I know. Everyday he's at the rink, and he [just doesn't stop]. He's a good role model for [me], and he just never stops working hard," Aiden said.
